Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (SABECO) owns two of Vietnam’s oldest and leading beer brands, Bia Saigon and Bia 333, with 147 years of history.
Ever since becoming a company with foreign investment in 2018, SABECO has implemented a comprehensive investment strategy and initiatives to strengthen its position as the leading domestic brewer and gradually improve its global competitiveness. Its vision is to become the leading beverage group in Vietnam with a firm foothold in regional and international markets. Aside from business development, SABECO has also been expanding its sustainability efforts through close partnerships with the government, private sector, and social organizations, with a focus on 4Cs: Consumption, Conservation, Country, and Culture.
SABECO’s commitments to the Country are reflected in its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities which support the rising spirit of Vietnam, contributing to the overall development and prosperity of Vietnam: Collect Million Stars, Tet One Home, Rise with Vietnam, Light Up the Rural, Fostering Sport, Power of Innovation coaching program, Luong Dinh Cua Awards, Vietnam Wins Gold initiative, etc.
The Culture commitment of SABECO is shown in its support of preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the nation. In 2022, celebrating Tet of Vietnam, SABECO launched the Ban Sac Viet collection consisting of 63 beer cans featuring signature scenery, culture, and customs of each province and city; rolled out Dem Saigon Mobile to cherish the street culture of Vietnam. Regarding Sports, SABECO with its leading brand Bia Saigon was the diamond sponsor for SEA Games 31, and the top star and exclusive in the beer industry for Vietnam national football teams.
In the meantime, SABECO’s commitment to conservation involves its efforts on cutting costs and reducing water and energy consumption in production, implementing renewable energy, advanced wastewater treatment systems as well as sustainable packaging.
Lastly, SABECO’s commitment to consumption lies in its cooperation with government authorities and relevant partners to raise public awareness about responsible drinking. The corporate collaborated with the Vietnam Beverage Association (VBA) on Draft Law on preventing and fighting against the negative effects of alcohol. Additionally, SABECO won top prizes at the Australian International Beer Awards in 2019 and 2021 and was honored among the Top 10 prestigious companies in Food & Beverage sector by Vietnam Report 2022.
