Loc Troi Group JSC

Information about the Company
Nearly 30 years of establishment, Loc Troi Group is proud to be the leading agricultural services group in Vietnam. With the mission of "Grow sustainably with farmers," Loc Troi gradually develops our agricultural eco-system with a value chain from researching & developing, supplying high-quality seeds; organizing large production; providing many scientific cultivation processes; supplying sets of crop protection products harmonizing among three elements: chemical – organic – biology; and providing standardized agricultural products for domestic and foreign markets. It honors the five core values of owning agricultural knowledge, managing crops, organizing large-scale farming, being trusted by farmers, and being a credible partner.

Company Culture & Company Activities
Loc Troi boasts a team of more than 3,600 employees, including approximately 1,000 agronomists, who work closely with farmers nationwide. Despite geographical distances, Loc Troi builds a strong culture upon the five attributes of employees, which are: devoting to agriculture, serving farmers, taking individual responsibility, being on a team, and striving for continuous improvements.

Loc Troi comprises science, research activities, and crop varieties development. Loc Troi is a specialist in the stable rice supply, organizing sustainable growing areas, ensuring traceability, and meeting the strictest quality requirements of agricultural products. Loc Troi rice is going to more than 40 nations worldwide, including the most demanding markets in Africa, the Philippines, Europe, Japan, the USA, and Australia.
Achievements & Impact
Today, as a leading agricultural service corporation in Vietnam, Loc Troi is specialized in large-scale agricultural production. Its 1,000 agronomists are working shoulder to shoulder every day with more than 200,000 farming households, supporting production on an area of nearly 1 million hectares.

Loc Troi has an Agricultural Research Institute with hundreds of in-house and linkaged scientific research experts. They contribute to high-quality seeds varieties, scientific and technical applications, and farming protocols that meet the standards of the most demanding markets such as the United States, Europe, Japan, Australia, etc.

Regarding the agricultural product segment, Loc Troi has 24 own and partnership rice mills, with a drying capacity of more than 26,000 tons of rice/day and a capacity of more than 1 million tons which is highly efficient for large orders. These factories meet international standards BRCGS, SMETA, and HALAL.

The group's distribution network with about 2,500 partners brings quality seeds and efficient, safe agricultural materials to farmers across the country, contributing to bountiful crops in all rural areas of Vietnam.

Future Direction
Eying a sustainable future, Loc Troi is building a large-scale and synchronous production model. This method utilizes synchronous mechanization, applies farming protocols tailored for international import standards, provides farmers with all necessary supplies and services, reduces the costs of intermediaries, minimizes bottlenecks commonly found during the peak harvest season, and ensures profitability for farmers. The model has been in trial on 30.000 hectares of rice in Thoai Son district, An Giang province, which produces positive results and increases farmers' confidence. Loc Troi aims to expand this model into other regions of suitable natural conditions for large-scale rice farming in Kien Giang, Dong Thap, Can Tho, and Long An provinces. It will help to reduce production costs and meet stringent requirements.

Aiming for sustainable agriculture, Loc Troi commits to minimizing chemicals used in farming, promoting bio-organic crop supplies, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from rice farming by using climate-resilient seeds and cultivation processes, and contributing to efforts to implement Vietnam's commitments at COP26.

Loc Troi is expanding into potential crops such as biomass corn, vegetables, and fruits with the same approach.
