Entering service in 2013, FTV was formerly known as the Nokia feature phone site, with a total investment of more than 300 million dollars and a construction scale of 17ha. In 2014, the factory became the unique factory of Microsoft in producing feature phones and smartphones in the world. In 2016, the factory officially became a part of the Foxconn Group.

Achievements & Impact
Despite the impact of COVID-19 on the whole economy, FTV still gained positive growth in the company's 2021 revenue, contributing $1.085 million to customs export.
Early in 2022, the recruitment policy was updated to encourage F0 employees to return to work. Attendance and other bonuses were also applied as one of the retainment strategies. Besides referral bonuses for employees working in FTV, the company has utilized other channels to attract talents to join the pool, such as broadcasting on the public PA system around communes in Bac Ninh and the "Fresher Program" applying to last-year students or fresh graduates. As a result, the current headcount of FTV has surpassed 4,000 employees by July 2022, while the ramping-up period has only just begun.
With the high demand for personnel development, the factory will expand its site with a new four-story building with a total area of 18 km2, which can facilitate thousands of employees.
Future Direction
There is a growing trend of electronics manufacturing migrating into Vietnam. This brings ample opportunities for FTV to diversify its business as more and more customers are approaching FTV with a wide range of products, from home appliances, feature phones, smartphones, car accessories, EV projects, tablets, etc. The business diversification route of FTV started in early 2019, from manufacturing traditional mobile phones to more complicated smartphones, smart speakers, and IoT modules. For further diversification and utilizing the new opportunities, FTV has expanded its business licenses, acquired relevant processing certifications, and placed further investment to improve the skills of its existing experienced workforce. The factory also aims for further diversification of customer focus and operation efficiency elevation to increase its competitiveness to the next level.
Recently, FTV has started its own sales operation to capture local and international business opportunities. After two and a half months of applying such a new business model, the factory has received great and promising responses. FTV is bravely taking this one-of-a-kind opportunity to establish another milestone and is ready to face any adverse challenges in business growth.
