Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) is a joint-stock company operating in a form of a parent-subsidiaries enterprise with 95.4% state-owned shares and responsible for the business of 22 airports across Vietnam, including 9 international airports and 13 domestic airports. The number of passengers passing through ACV’s airports reached 43.3 million passengers with 298,837 flights in the first half of 2022, which is equivalent to 53.2% of the total planning in 2022 and 166% of the number for the same period in 2021.
ACV was honored to become a valuable partner to attend the Routes Asia event, the most prestigious flight route development forum in Asia, taking place in Da Nang city in June 2022. It contributes to promoting and introducing Vietnam’s image and development potential, thus creating a foundation for restoring and expanding international flight networks; promoting investment in aviation and tourism infrastructure in the future.
Regarding the company’s strategy to achieve sustainable growth, qualified human resource is a priceless asset and one of the most significant factors in ACV’s long-term sustainable development strategy. Relationship expansion and brand strategy have always been ACV's development goals. When the three phases have been completed, the Long Thanh international airport can handle a capacity of 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo annually.
The passenger terminal T3 construction project at Tan Son Nhat international airport is another significant project. The terminal, with a capacity of 20 million passengers per year and synchronous auxiliary works, is expected to meet the traffic growth, reduce the currently overloaded condition of Terminal 1 as well as improve the passenger service quality.
Besides that, ACV has also carried out the Noi Bai international airport passenger terminal T2 expansion project; the construction project of passenger terminal T2 at Phu Bai international airport; the Dien Bien airport expansion project, and so on.
