Tek Experts’ ambitious growth plans have seen the company open its seventh office this year in Rwanda, expanding its footprint in the region. This new location is in line with its strategy of finding office locations where there is an untapped talent pool and working in partnership with national government offices to build long-lasting careers for people.
With over 5,000 employees and plans to triple the company’s headcount in the next four years, Tek Experts has robust plans in place to attract, retain and develop its people. This includes the development of a new Employee Value Proposition which the company will be launching in October 2021 following an extensive consultation period with employees where it has been able to work with them in identifying what makes working at Tek Experts unique and rewarding. New recruitment systems to better serve job applicants as well as its line managers with remote videos/ interviews being conducted so that the company remains COVID-19 safe. Its onboarding and employee training has also been structured so that the company can reflect on the changes COVID-19 has made to the business as well as ensure that all its people have robust career pathways and the support they need to achieve and progress with Tek Experts and in life.
The company has also developed a structured Objectives and Key Results (OKR) strategy with over 20 leadership backed projects underway so that it can realise both its short and long-term objectives.
Future Direction
Tek Experts’ roadmap outlines significant growth in its existing markets while looking for opportunities globally and remaining agile to new growth markets.
With a clear focus on technical support for businesses, Tek Experts is unlocking revenue growth for its clients. In 2021, the company has expanded its new business team to support its growth. The company also took local initiatives by improving its new incentives programme, which is designed to improve productivity, and utilising technological tools (MONET) to track productivity to continue improving its efficiency.
