PIAGGIO Vietnam Co., Ltd is an Italian 100% invested company—the leading European two-wheel motor vehicle manufacturer. It holds a leading role in the premium scooter market in Vietnam. The company is based in Binh Xuyen Industrial Zone, Vinh Phuc province which has been granted the Investment License in October 2007. Vietnam then became the strategic market of PIAGGIO Group and operated as the headquarter of Piaggio Asia Pacific. Piaggio Vietnam houses a scooter manufacturing plant, an engine production plant, and the regional research and development (R&D) centre—the only Piaggio R&D centre in the Asia Pacific. Piaggio Vietnam produces scooters for both local markets and export globally. In 2019, Piaggio Vietnam marked its production milestone of the millionth scooter.
With more than 900 employees, Piaggio Vietnam is the group's third-largest production operation after Pontedera, Italy and Baramati in Maharashtra state, India.
