Sacombank was established in 1991 in Ho Chi Minh City with an initial charter capital of VND3 billion. In the spirit of consolidation and acceleration in 2019, Sacombank focused on improving all activities to keep up with new trends and seize business opportunities. A weekly flag raising ceremony has become an indispensable routine every Monday morning. Sacombank is the only commercial joint stock bank that currently maintains a regular flag raising ceremony every Monday morning.
Community activities are held annually – “Race Sacombank for public health”; "Warm Spring” charity event; "Sharing from the heart" blood donation; "Sacombank - Nurturing dreams" scholarship; Sacombank youth - a series of sports activities including yoga, jogging, tennis, dancing that strengthens mental and physical health.
Sacombank has a bank network with 566 transaction offices covering 52/63 territories in Vietnam and in Laos and Cambodia. Sacombank offers more than 300 diversified products and services such as cards, deposits, loans, services and foreign exchange. The Bank has an international standard card issuance and management system and a highly rated e-banking system. Sacombank has also introduced a range of preferential loan packages.

The bank also plans to diversify its lending portfolio and promote selective retail credit growth by focusing on existing borrowers and increase its lending to small and medium businesses.
