Company Introduction
Established in 2000, when game shows were almost non-existence, Dong Tay Promotion is the first company to provide international TV show formats in Vietnam. Today, the Company is Vietnam’s Largest Content Provider, producing around 1,260 hours of content per year to key TV stations. They are the first to buy “million dollar–investment” formats, including Vietnam Idol (2006) and So You Think You Can Dance (2010). Also, the creators of record-breaking local shows, including Dream Houses (2005-2015); Smart Wives (2017-2018); The Generation Show (2018); Lighting Quiz (2018); Mars vs Venus (2019). Whether it is in music, comedy, dance competition, reality talk show, Dong Tay Promotion keeps its finger on pulse of the temperamental market, always finding ways to resonate with the fickle mass with bespoken, tailored local formats or by adopting foreign formats to local taste.

Dong Tay Promotion 360-degree engagement culture permeates everything that it does. This is especially true when it comes to content creation. At the start of every content consideration, the input from Production/ PR/ Media/ Client/ Digital/ Audience are very important. As a result of this, all of Dong Tay Promotion employees are orientated to thinking/ understanding/ and acting as a Brand ambassador. Dong Tay Promotion is aware of the responsibility it has in the community. In 2015, Dong Tay Promotion started producing a TV program, Build A Bridge, to support the Nam Phuong Foundation, with the purpose of raising social awareness to the plight of the children drowning in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam because of the dangerous river crossing on unsafe bridges. Thus far, 21 bridges have been built in 8 far-flung provinces with 25.5 billion VND in donation. Thanks to the success of this project, 14.5 million safe crossings have been provided to these rural communities. The purpose of Dream House project is to build houses for poor children whose homes are in deplorable conditions. 550 houses have been built to date to give these children a safe place to study and nurture hope to a better tomorrow.

Achievements and Impact
From a humble beginning of a 6-persons company, Dong Tay Promotion has grown into 120 employees with the capacity of 8 production teams, 20 in-house post-production, and in partnership with dozens of international partners like Endemol Shine Group, Viacom International Media Network, Fujisankei Communications International Inc., Fremantle Media Enterprises, KBS, etc.

Dong Tay Promotion dominates the prime times on national TV channels such as VTV3 (31%) and HTV7 (46%) with more than 1260 hours of the TV show, 800 episodes of local (TNS Kantar Media).

Furthermore, Dong Tay Promotion continues to groom talents organically to sustain its future contents needs. Currently, Dong Tay Promotion is under contract with Vietnam’s largest pool of talent hub (300 actors/ actresses; 60 singers; 30 models; 25 comedians) with the A-class names of V-biz including Tran Thanh (TV Host/ Actor), Chi Pu (singer/ actress), Quang Hieu (singer), Hari Won (singer/ actress), etc.

Future Direction
Humanity is in the midst of the fastest technology change. Currently, people can create contents, socialize and gather information with a small handheld device called the smartphone. In the past, prime times are television’s time to show the best programs. Today, depending on the nature of work and daily activities, each person has a different prime time.

Dong Tay Promotion recognises this trend and has taken stake in this growing phenomenon. Dong Tay Promotion is building contents are easily accessible on all multiple platforms and devices, especially digital channels, to have great contents to reach as many people as possible at anytime, anywhere.
