PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) was firstly established to supply petroleum transportation services, especially crude oil. The Company was officially converted to PetroVietnam Transporatation Joint Stock Company in May 2007 and renamed PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation in July 2007. PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation was listed on Hochiminh City
Stock Exchange on 10 December 2007.
PV Trans provides professional oil and gas transportation services, including the transportation of crude oil, refined oil/chemicals, gas and bulk cargo, maritime services, logistics, technical ship management services and the supply of manpower. Over the past 17 years, PVTrans has become a leader in Vietnam’s maritime transportation which is well-known in both local and international markets with 100% domestic market share in crude oil and LPG transportation and 30% market share of domestic petroleum/chemical transportation.
The Company’s Vision is to maintain its position as Vietnam’s largest transporter and maritime service provider, ensure sustainable, stable development and competitiveness, build and develop PVTrans to become a esteemed transportation brand in regional and global markets.

PVTrans is one of the few enterprises in the oil and gas industry and the shipping transportation industry which has maintained a continuous growth rate for the past 6 years with an average annual rate of 20%. In 2018, the average number of employees was 1,797 and an average income of VND18.9 million/person/month and productivity reaching VND365 million/person/month.
Future direction
The main objectives of PVTrans is to tap opportunities to further its business and fleet capacity to maintain its domestic markets and ambitiously targeting 50% market share in the oil product/chemical and coal transportation in Vietnam.
