Daikin Vietnam

Daikin Vietnam - formerly known as Viet Kim Company - was established in 1995, specializing in distributing Daikin air conditioning products in Viet Nam. It started as a small company distributing Daikin air conditioning products and eventually became a member of Daikin Group in October 2008. As an affiliate of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of air conditioning industries equipment, Daikin Ltd., Daikin Vietnam is a trustworthy supplier which provides high quality and comfortable living environments to a wide range of customers in Viet Nam.

By establishing its network nationwide, Daikin Vietnam offers not only sales but also all types of after sales services ranging from technical advice to repair and maintenance services for all product line up distributed within the country. In 2012 and 2013, Daikin Vietnam was listed in the Top 500 Largest Vietnamese Enterprises. It was also listed in the Top 100 Trusted Brands ranked by Vietnam Economy Times and Consumer Magazine in 2013. Daikin Vietnam is also the pioneer in the implementation of the national rules on energy efficiency conducted by the government.

In Jan 2015, Viet Kim Company changed its name to Daikin Air Conditioning (Vietnam) Joint Stock Company. The mission of Daikin Vietnam is to “Make a breakthrough, unite our capabilities and take on new challenges”. The company’s success is based on creating core values, which is Absolute Credibility, Enterprising Management, Harmonious Personal Relations.

In 2020, Daikin aims to increase its revenue to 700 million USD, and 890 million USD in 2022 after five years. For that purpose, Daikin will further expand its investments and employment, build sales network and service systems which covers Vietnam’s cities and provinces, and arrange a system to distribute air conditioners.

Furthermore, to achieve the target, Daikin Factory was inaugurated in May in Hung Yen Province. This new factory is the first officially air-conditioned manufacturing factory in Vietnam history which can produce one million units, and provide more than 1000 work and training opportunities for thousands of engineers. Daikin hopes that it can be “the beginning of a new history for Vietnam air conditioning market”

Daikin will also develop products that match the needs of Vietnamese customers based on the network that they build around Vietnam for residential use. In addition, Daikin will create a commercial market and will provide comfortable space for buildings, offices, shops, etc. In addition, Daikin will also construct a headquarter building of its own near Ho Con Rua lake which can be regarded as the center of Ho Chi Minh. It will have unique offices in Vietnam equipped all functions including a call center, a showroom, a training center as well as a sales department.

Furthermore, Daikin constantly supports the government in areas related to raising awareness of environmental protection. Since 2014, Daikin Vietnam has been a part of the Earth Hour campaign, participating in related events such as the “Gio Trai Dat” and “Le Tat den”. Daikin has received a certificate of recognition from the Minister in 2018 for their efforts. Daikin is also actively involved in the “Energy Labeling” program for residential air conditioners as a way to promote the importance of environmental protection to their customers.
