Interlink Telecom Public Company Limited (ITEL) was established on 3 January 2007 to operate as a telecommunications network provider with a license to operate 3 types of telecommunications business. The company has its own network, the Office of the National Broadcasting and telecommunications Commission (NBTC).

After receiving the license, the company began the construction of the Fiber Optic Network (Interlink fiber Optic Network) aims to be the most secure and efficient private-sector network. The company’s network also covers areas throughout Thailand and can connect its network to ASEAN partners such as Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Laos.

The company’s first data center service, Interlink Data Center, brings the benefits of having fiber optic cable networks nationwide as a sales point, covering the provision of server space, virtual server space, and emergency backup centers (disaster recovery).

In 2022, a joint venture with Advanced Information Technology Public Company Limited (AIT) and WHA Corporation Public Company Limited (WHA) helped expand the second data center service “Genesis Data Center”, supporting customers with up to 1,038 racks.

ITEL also has agreements and partnerships with various entities to expand these data centers, support future customers, and enhance its international cloud service providers who want to use Thailand as a base for their data centers.

In 2021, ITEL adopted the new S-Curve strategy to focus on Big Data and Security such as Drone & Anti-Drone, Social Data, Social Analytics, and Security Analytic and Telecommunications to stand out from its competitors by collaborating with partners to develop new services, while creating solutions and business models to meet the needs of customers and enhance the quality of Thai technology.

In addition, the company passed the “Membership of the Thai Private Sector Anti-Corruption Coalition” certification, showcasing its management framework of good ethics, transparency, accountability, and awareness of anti-corruption, which is one of its core business principles.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, ITEL overcame the crisis by providing fiber optic rental services and a data center rental business. This is a long-term contract business model where customers pay for the service on a monthly basis. In addition, the company develops new innovations that meet the needs of customers by joining joint ventures and partnering with related businesses such as big data investment.

For the network installation service business, ITEL initially focused on installing optical fiber by choosing a major customer, such as the operator but it has now changed its business model according to customer needs who want to reduce the cost of electricity. The company has also changed from the installation of fiber optic cables to solar cables. ITEL has set a goal for another 5 years to earn THB 5,000 million. To achieve this, ITEL increased its proportion of data services and data centers.
