Information about the Entrepreneur
Jason Lin was born in Keelung, a small city by the sea. In 2010, he rented a poorly managed hotpot restaurant in Keelung Fish Market for NTD 35,000 beginning with only three employees. Lacking any financial knowledge or management experience, the cost of ingredients was 45% higher than it should be. However, the restaurant gradually gained support from its customers due to its fresh ingredients and unique soup base.

When the first branch was opened in Taichung in 2015 after the business stabilized, it set a record for a queue time that averaged 4 hours, consolidating its status as a popular restaurant. With an increasing number of stores, it was decided to formally establish the headquarters of the Jhu Jian Catering Group (Jhu Jian) in 2017 and to open a franchising system in 2018. This assisted franchise owners with site evaluation, design planning, education and training, operation guidance, supervision and review mechanism, etc. Currently, Jhu Jian has 158 branches of various brands in Taiwan.
