The GEO Smart Innovation Group was established in 2001. It was co-founded by a group of professors and researchers from Feng Chia University who have been concerned about urban and rural development issues for a long time. It is currently operating under the name GEO Informatics Inc. (GEO Informatics).

The company deals in environmental resource management, disaster prevention, rural development, smart cities, regional revitalization, and other urban and rural development issues. It integrates multiple majors, hoping to use technology as a medium for cross-field integration and even cross-field innovation. The company also integrates design, marketing, management consulting, AI, and other knowledge and technologies across fields to apply them to various fields such as smart tourism, regional revitalization, planning management, environmental resource management, and many more.

GEO Informatics’ vision is to become the “Best Sustainable Cities and Communities Solution Provider in the Asia Pacific” while its mission is to be committed to providing for “smart cities and rural areas, industrial innovation, talent development”.

The core technology of GEO’s AIOT is focused on the two major fields of “smart city and rural areas” and “creative city and rural areas”. The company believes that good innovation comes from cross-field open thinking. GEO Informatics is deeply involved in forward-looking smart technology, and through cross-field integration and innovation, it provides more possibilities for the development and innovation of Taiwan’s urban and rural areas and industries.

The company hopes to have 10,000 people attend lectures, fund 100 urban and rural scholarships, and invest in 10 social enterprises to develop the company’s influence in this area.
