Suntec Singapore is a firm believer in creating conducive spaces for employees to collaborate, providing them with ample opportunities to grow in their careers, organizing activities for their holistic well-being and rewarding them fairly based on their work performance. These factors stemmed from its corporate HR strategy which consists of three pillars - collaboration, community and collective efforts.

Collaboration:

  • Develop future-ready employees via reskilling and upskilling

  • Inspire future MICE professionals by establishing partnerships with several tertiary institutions e.g. Learning Journey with Singapore Polytechnic
  • Cultivate corporate social responsibility engagement and giving mindset by providing employees time off to volunteer for the community e.g. befriending elderly residents at NTUC SilverACE etc.
  • Promote and champion local producer and artisan community via Suntec Singapore’s proprietary F&B event, Sprout - Singapore’s Largest Farmers Market and sparking the farm-to-people movement
  • Regular staff engagement via lunch talks, physical exercises, festive luncheons, and annual family day and dinner & dance events
Collective Efforts:
  • Build an inclusive workforce with flexible work arrangements via flexi-time scheme
  • Establish re-employment policy and practices for mature employees to develop an active mature workforce which forms 54% of Suntec Singapore’s headcount
  • Inculcate ownership of the venue amongst employees with room-checker app, where every employee is assigned a space to check for cleanliness and defects
  • Created a one-stop platform for all HR-related functions and internal announcements, which keeps staff abreast of news and events in the organisation and allows them to submit claims and leave applications anytime, anywhere
All these initiatives propel Suntec Singapore forward as a progressive organisation that continues to thrive sustainably in talent development, community-building and corporate excellence in the hospitality, food service and tourism sector.

Future Direction
Suntec Singapore continues to embrace digitalization to deliver more choice, clarity and convenience for all customers. Its digital roadmap focuses on enhancing the customer experience including the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities in the coming years.
