Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) is a state enterprise, one of three electric utility providers in Thailand, that was established in 1958. MEA's main responsibility is to provide electricity covering 3,192 square kilometers in Bangkok and two other major cities, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan.MEA is transforming its company into the digital era and improving service quality for the public with the Triple Go for Goal policy, which includes Go Smart, Go Digital, and Go Green, under the vision "Energy for City Life, Energize Smart Living" to drive sustainable urban living. Go Smart enhances electricity stability through the Smart Metro Grid, Go Digital upgrades services to a fully digital experience with e-services on the MEASY platform and secure eLG on Blockchain, whereas Go Green promotes a Low Carbon Society by supporting the EV Ecosystem, anticipating increased EV usage by 2037.

In particular, the succession planning system is an important tool to prevent interruptions and prepare for succession in key positions and critical positions that are important forces in managing the core business, related business, and new business that may arise in the future.To move towards the vision effectively, MEA has a Succession Plan Project as a readiness process to continuously raise potential levels. It raises the Director of the department's potential to be ready for the succession of senior executives and raises the Assistant Director of the department’s potential, as well as ensures the Director of Division or equivalent will be ready for the succession of executives at the department level.
