Growth Initiatives
2004 was the beginning of a new chapter for “Global Stones”, which the industry came by chance to Mr. Mayank Shah (Founder)< who purchased the business assets in a bank auction and turned it around with sheer determination and a positive attitude. Since its inception in 2004, Global Stones has been a key contributor in the stone industry worldwide. In 2006, the Company explored global markets to create new avenues of growth in the industry. They also regularly mine and excavate new colours and patterns from quarries which helps them to expand their product range and keep up with the rising consumer demand.In 2011, an organisation, Global Mining, was established and engaged in mining activities such as Crema Petra, Bianco Angel and Black Beauty. In 2015, upgradation of plant to meet international standards and in 2019, the industry faced the challenge of “Anti- Dumping Duty” which was imposed by the US Government. As an industry, the Company fought the case and was able to save the industry from high duty rates and during its time, they had also planned and shortlisted investments in other countries if duty rates would have been substantially higher.

GSPL is planning to go global by planning an ODI investment in USA to launch “Global Quartz” as an independent brand. They have set up their own company so that they do not have to depend solely on importers for sales and they plan to open several outlets in multiple locations in the USA under their own brand. Furthermore, they plan to expand the capacity in the Engineered quartz plant using the latest technology available and improvise R&D to help innovate new looks and designs.
