Thailandpost Co., Ltd. (THP) was originally established as a government agency under the Post Development in 1883 before it was converted into a state enterprise named the Communications Authority of Thailand in 1977.However, due to the liberalization of free trade and services in Thailand, the organization was converted once again into “Thailand Post Company Limited” on 14 August 2003 and earned the status of a state enterprise under the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (currently the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society). This change was made with the aim of enhancing business operations and for employees to earn sufficient income for self-support while continuously providing social services for the benefit of the people and the country.
THP’s business is divided into five categories: (1) Transport and logistics services with the main service being Domestic Express Mail Service; (2) Mail services with Domestic Letter Post being the main service; (3) International services focusing on International Express Mail Service; (4) Retail business with Envelopes and Carton Boxes being the main products; and (5) Financial services with Cash on Delivery Services being the main service.

Through its success in operations covering both enhancement of service quality and long-term commitment to the creation of a reputable brand image, THP was able to enjoy profits again in 2023, after being affected by constant price competition in 2021-2022.This led the company to begin operating diverse businesses, including the establishment of a joint venture company under the name of “Fuze Post Company Limited” to expand the company’s services of cold chain express in 2021. Additionally, in 2022, the company partnered with several businesses to launch 'Prompt Post,' a service that offers the receipt, transmission, and management of electronic documents.
