SELECTION & JUDGING PROCESS
There is an in-depth search and selection process for nominations of the Awards composed of primary,
secondary, and tertiary research by Enterprise Asia’s research division.
Every year, Enterprise Asia traces and records more than 120,000 companies, across 24 major industries in 32 countries to identify best practices, growth patterns, business excellence, and responsible business ethics of companies within Asia.
Enterprise Asia believes and observes transparency and accountability in all of its undertakings. This is extended to the judging process as well. Enterprise Asia strives to share as much information as possible on the judging process. However, there are several aspects of the judging process that must be kept confidential, in order to maintain a fair, independent and effective evaluation.

Jikyeong is a Board member and Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the world’s largest and the most prestigious business education alliance and accreditation body. She is also a Board member of European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), an international 900-member organisation of business schools and corporations; and a Council member of the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS), providing opportunities for the advancement and development of business and management education in Asia-Pacific. She is a Fellow of the International Academy of Management (IAOM), a prestigious, invitation-only forum of world class global thought and business leaders committed to co-create a leadership agenda to address critical opportunities created by global challenges.
She is also an Independent Director of Security Bank, one of the Philippines' leading universal banks, and of Kesoram Industries, which is part of the B K Birla Group of Companies in India. In addition, she serves on the international advisory boards of several premier international business schools.
In 2017, Jikyeong received The Asia HRD Award for Contribution to Organisation. This award is bestowed upon individuals who have built their success on innovative systems, processes, and practices which have impacted overall employee development and productivity with an accompanying effect on the bottom line. Jikyeong also received the Brand Laureate Best Brands’ International Brand Personality Award in 2018. With her leadership, AIM was given the 2019 Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award for Corporate Excellence in Education and Training for demonstrating sustainable growth, responsible leadership, and operational excellence.

Dr Chien was elected twice as a legislator in Taipei City. In 1987 he became the first Minister of the Environmental Protection Administration under Chiang Ching-kuo’s presidency. In 1991, during Lee Teng-hui’s presidency, he was appointed as the Minister of Transportation and Communications, Representative of Taipei Representative Office in the UK, and Senior Advisor of National Security Council. During President Chen Shui-bian’s time, he served as the Deputy Secretary General of the Office of the President and subsequently as the Foreign Minister.
In 2007, Dr Chien founded the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), raising public awareness on climate change. Since 2008, TAISE has hosted the “Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA)”. TCSA is now recognised as the most prestigious corporate sustainability award in Taiwan. Dr Chien has been serving as Chairman of the Telecommunications & Intelligent Transportation Technology Development Foundation since 2013.

He is an entrepreneur by nature. He has spent time starting up data analytics consultancies, bridging the big divide between the technology and the marketing world. His latest endeavour is a Shanghai-based medical wellness start-up bringing Chinese tourists to Thailand for medical check-ups.
Jeff is a Journalism major, from Hong Kong Baptist University, and earned a Master’s degree in communication research from Stanford University.

Eugene has the overall responsibility for the Firm’s operations, marketing and practice development, corporate strategy and relationship management. He is also the Head of Consulting, China Practice and Japanese Practice, the Leader of Financial Services, the Convener of Capital Market Group of the Firm.
Eugene accumulated over 25 years of experience in the accounting profession. He has extensive experience in providing auditing, financial advisory and business valuation services to clients in a variety of industries. He is also the partner-in-charge on over twenty initial public offers in Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Eugene is actively involved in public services in serving the community, accounting profession, NGOs and tertiary institutions.
Dr. Virginia Cha

In her multi-faceted four decades-long industry and academic career which spanned multiple countries, Virginia co-founded or was the sole-founder and CEO of multiple venture-funded, hi-tech companies in Singapore and China, with listings on NASDAQ and HKSE. She’s co-authored a book “Asia’s Entrepreneurs: Dilemmas, Risks and Opportunities”, published by Taylor and Francis (2009), which captured Singapore’s technology entrepreneurial history from 1995-2005. Additionally, Virginia is a member of the Future Council of the World Economic Forum. Virginia is also an active researcher, mentor, and angel investor in Singapore’s entrepreneur ecosystem with 16 start-up companies in her angel investment portfolio with operations in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, USA, Finland, and the UK.
Virginia’s has also published on the subject of restorative innovation (www.restorativeinnovation.com). This emergent framework uses an economic model on how sustainable goods can reach mass consumption through innovation along three dimensions: increased supply, supply chain efficiency, and increased adoption. This framework is now taught in leading Singapore tertiary institutions and published in “An Introduction to Circular Economy”, published by Springer Nature (2020). Virginia earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Computer Science, University of Hawaii, in 1980, and her PhD from National University of Singapore.
