In 2006, Mandy was personally involved in the opening of The Legend Water Chalets, the Group’s first property in Negeri Sembilan, presently known as Lexis Port Dickson. Three years later in 2009, she spearheaded the opening of The Legend International Water Homes, now known as Grand Lexis Port Dickson. The Balinese-resort styled sanctuary offers unparalleled superior surroundings where each of the 317 Balinese-inspired villas comes with its own dip pool for privacy and convenience. Grand Lexis Port Dickson is the record holder for The Malaysia Book of Records for the most number of swimming pools in a resort (2012) and recipient of Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence Award 2017.

In 2011, seeing a need to expand her horizons, Mandy joined Sunway International Hotels and Resorts as the CEO. Among her main roles include overseeing the profitability and smooth running of its 2,786 hotel rooms in Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia. While at the conglomerate, she was also the Director of Sunway International Vacation Club and Sunway Healthy Lifestyle. Mandy returned full time as the President of Lexis Hotel Group in 2015, in time for the soft opening of Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson, the Group’s signature property. The iconic Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson resembles the national flower of Malaysia and each of its 639-pool villa is equipped with private pool and steam room, giving guests convenience and total privacy.

Lexis Hibiscus is the only resort with the proud holder of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS for achieving “The most swimming pools in a resort at 643” and “The most overwater villas in single resort at 522”. These records were determined by a research which was verified on 14 October 2016. Additionally, it is also the recipient of the 2016 World Luxury Hotel Awards – Luxury Water Villa Resort (Southeast Asia), 2017 World Luxury Hotel Awards - Luxury Water Villa Resort (Asia), and 2017 World Luxury Hotel Awards - Luxury Private Pool Villa (Malaysia). Other namely awards include the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2017, Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards 2017 for ‘Best Family Resort’ & ‘Best Pool Villa’, Malaysia Tourism Council Gold Awards 2017 for Luxury Sea Villa Resort, and the coveted Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards 2017 for Business Service Excellence.

Under Mandy’s leadership, the Group has achieved about RM100 million turnover for Lexis Hibiscus and RM200 million in total with the other three resorts in 2016. For 2017, the group achieved a whopping RM210 million. Financial statistics aside, Mandy has steered Lexis Hotel Group in clinching the coveted Brandlaureate SMEs Best Brands Awards 2016-2017 – Best Brand in Hospitality (Hotels and Resorts) as well as Malaysia and Asia Best Employer Brand Awards. Gratifying achievements like these are what make it worthwhile for her.

The group was also awarded the TOP 10 of Malaysia Award - Asian Iconic Luxury Hotel Chain Award, and the Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards 8th Edition.

In August 2017, Mandy won the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry. The award, better known as APEA, is a regional recognition program organized by Enterprise Asia, the region’s foremost association and think-tank for entrepreneurship. The Awards are presented to a select handful of entrepreneurs across Asia Pacific each year. The Awards is often compared to the Olympics for the stringent entry criteria and highly competitive judging parameters. The nomination is by-invitation only with each nominee subjected to a rigorous judging process, including financial verification by an appointed audit firm and mandatory physical site audit and interview.

Top 10 of Malaysia also honored Mandy with the award for Malaysia’s Most Admired Hotelier. To kick start 2018, on the 16th of January, Mandy won Female Entrepreneur of the Year - Special Mention, at the SOBA 2017 Awards, organized by the Star Media Group. In addition to that, the CMO Asia Awards 2018 presented Mandy with the Most Admired CEO of the Year Award, under its Award for Excellence in Hotel Industry category.

In tandem with Lexis Hotel Group’s tagline ‘Hospitality Is Our Passion’, Mandy believes in instilling her team members to do things with zeal, and to think positively. With a workforce exceeding 1,400 in Negeri Sembilan alone, Lexis Hotel Group is easily the largest hospitality chain in the state, providing job opportunities to the locals from entry right through management levels.

“When we love what we do, it becomes less of a ‘job’ and more of an enthusiastic venture. We strive to bring our individual expertise, creativity and passion together as a team.” While opportunities are given to groom and mould the younger employees, staffs who have been with Lexis for a long time are given due recognition and justifiably rewarded. These, according to Mandy, are just some of the many ways Lexis retain its pool of talents.

Mandy is also a firm believer in supporting the local community where the resorts are located. Whenever possible, local produce such as kuih (snack and sweets) and fruits as well as seafood from the nearby fishermen are sought and in turn used by the chefs in the resorts for their daily meal preparation. This practice ensures a harmonious co-existence and the welfare of the resorts’ surrounding communities are well taken care of.

As an entrepreneur with a heart, Mandy always believe in giving back to society. She holds dear to the adage where the more you give, the more you will receive. Within the Group, she will ensure that the staffs’ welfare is always well taken care. Lexis also engages employees who are physically challenged, and they are placed in suitable departments according to their abilities. Apart from this noble gesture, Mandy also ensures that a staff hostel, located just nearby the resort, is equipped with a host of conveniences such as a mini mart, laundrette and canteen. To ease their daily commute, regular scheduled bus service is also made available to ferry the staff to and from the hostel and the resorts.

Within the community where each of the resort is located, regular Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities are held, especially during major festive seasons. To date, among the beneficiaries of Lexis’ CSR efforts include:
