Dato’ Lawrence always believed Entrepreneurship is a never-ending journey for him but is someone always struggling with new ventures. He agreed his Entrepreneurship is an innovator and leader that he sees and takes opportunity to shape the business direction for his MLM Company. SNE La’Soul is his brand. Dato’ Lawrence’s career with SNE was started when he was 24 years old in year 2004. He believed his family values are the key to drive his behaviours to work for his father to achieve his father’s expectation. His father, Dato’s Seri Barry Low has given him full support for all things he did for the Company. This upbringing approach had taught him how to manage efficiently his working capital and the business since he was very young during the early time he joined the Company as a Nutritionist.

Two years later in year 2006, he was promoted to become the product consultant and subsequently general manager, and he was appointed as the Executive Director of SNE in year 2007. Since then he has planned, created and worked out on creative and innovative marketing strategies to grow SNE business with many marketing activities and initiatives evolving with the market changes.

He is a talented businessman with great marketing ideas which flows in his mind that he has the vision that he foresees the highly-potential market for health and beauty skin care products in the commercial mid-market and selected retail market. He also foreseen the demand and potential of the social media networks system and digital marketing could impact on his SNE business. He brought in imported skin care products from Korea in year 2013 which increasingly became the core products contribute more than 50% of the monthly sales revenue in SNE today. “La’ Soul” is the innovative house brand created by himself under his beauty skin care business empire which engage more in advancing of digital base marketing environment. He had successfully established the Sabah market with the aborigines of ‘Gen-Y’ where this group of young generation work aggressively to penetrate La’Soul skin care product into the Sabah market with online marketing strategy under ‘Franchise Concept Marketing Plan’ that La’Soul is now a very popular brand in Sabah.

He believed that there are those that contribute to entrepreneurial success are passion, luck and willingness to risk greatly. He fully inspired by his father that “if we want to become a successful entrepreneur and to make our company SNE to become a large organization, we have to find way to sell all our products as well as the skin care products to the world at an affordable price”. He possesses passion in his career and is persistence on his entrepreneurial journey. He believed he might only talk a good business but he does not drive the business to move forward if without “Persistence”. Passion is the willingness to suffer and endure pain for his beliefs. He strongly believed passion is the foundation of his entrepreneurial success.

He sees the key factors that may impact in the entrepreneurship which have been clearly laid out that are restructuring, expansion and diversification. At any different moment in his business’s life and of each obstacle he may face, he inquires in the model of decision making that defines his entrepreneurial dynamic; the key elements in the process and the entrepreneurial qualities shown in each observed moment. He views all obstacles could be overcome as he strongly believes that behind the decision making there is an innovative entrepreneur leader that is constantly seeking for new opportunities in the market, and agile and innovative style that makes the big difference in the business growth, manage information and networks, assumes risks, face challenges of solving problems, makes strategic planning, makes innovation in process through companies’ restructuring and devotes the entrepreneur’s life to develop the entrepreneurial personality assuming challenges when entering to diversify markets.

The important piece of Dato’ Lawrence was that he does not attend any specific professional training and experience in any big companies to acquire knowledge of entrepreneurship. He took up Pharmacy degree in the University of South Australia, and the good chance of requiring a trainee of Nutritionist in SNE gave him the opportunity to have his first and foremost contact with market network in a MLM industry. Starting off with his years he drove his whole career in SNE to get to the general manager position and to become the Executive Director today in SNE.

His thirteen years in SNE gave him the chance to expand his knowledge as a businessman, take advances courses, manage diverse industries, and in this way gave him more confidence and expertise in the enterprise arena. In this period of his life, he got married with his beloved wife who has relentlessly supported him and he is thankful that they have two lovely daughters around his career life.

It is natural in human beings to stay in the comfort zone, but Dato’ Lawrence challenged this concept, in the professional momentum he had a team of talented people in SNE, he decided to focus his entrepreneurial instinct to new business path in the MLM industry and fulfilling his dream of becoming an outstanding businessman. As this new starts of an entrepreneur, he starts advancing and expanding in new and different innovative of marketing strategy to outperform their MLM business by suggesting of many new Marketing activities and initiatives, branding strategy and pricing strategy, networking strategy and with his team. He takes the opportunity to participate in various social activities to uphold their corporate social engagement.

Besides business, he is well participate in charity and CSR that he would like to contribute his best to the communities in needs within his capability. He is getting more and more active and aggressive to participate in many kinds of CSR events which he strikes balance between his business and his social responsibility to the communities. An on-going focus currently, Dato’ Lawrence is encouraging literacy among underprivileged children. He approved and has dedicated money to the orphanage to purchase reading materials for those underprivileged children. As such, under his leadership the Company has created their CSR theme “Knowledge is future” for SNE that he will focus on the education for the underprivileged children by donating books and money for them in need. He believed that incorporating CSR into the core values for the Company operations can help acquire a competitive advantage and achieve sustainable operations in SNE.

With his vision, the Company is also looking forward to work with any NGOs and charitable organization on projects which will promote community growth and development. SNE aims to adopt a more holistic approach that the money contributed will help those to build their skills and improve, empower them to create a more sustainable future for themselves. Dato’ Lawrence has committed as one of the sponsors in the upcoming Charity Run event ‘Run for a Chance’ with at least 3000 participants to be held on 16 September 2017 in PJ which organized by Lovely Disabled Home PJ where he intended to help the disabled community and to raise the public awareness on the disabled person contribution to the society.
