Hitech Corporation Limited

Conventional organisations have a stereotypical method to function and serve. Taking the world head on, working towards higher sales, and better marketing of the products are targets every organisation would set for its employees. For the Hitech Group, the contrary applies. Self-development along with the aim to do everything right the first time with extreme vigour and enthusiasm, to please every existing and prospective customer, is of key importance.

Founded in 1991, Hitech caters to over 1000 customers across several sectors, including paint and coating, lubricants, leather auxiliaries, construction, chemicals and adhesives, personal care, food and nutrition, and other allied areas, with an attempt to establish a firm footing in the manufacturing and service industry.

The constant development in material science, polymer technology, environmental norms, design integration along with strong competition in the market have been the drivers for Hitech. The group focuses on continuous process and product innovation to ensure high quality and on time delivery of all the services it offers.

Concepts like the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a butterfly, to be a lotus detached from the anxieties of the world around, to be strong and able to fight the negativities, to reason, to create, to simplify and in turn work cohesively as a universal family “vasudhaiva kutumbakam” is the purpose.

Corporate Culture & Company Activities

The group has a unique lens that it has developed to view the world outside and be happier inside. Every morning, across all plants and the head office, employees perform a few rituals that include worshiping all religions collectively as one single voice, a laughter session, the recital of the company’s quality policy, followed by a guided Vipassana meditation session, which makes Hitech untypical in its own way.

In-house award programmes like ‘Moti Ki Khoj’ (Search for Pearls) – to be able to transform a problem or obstacle into an opportunity or an asset, ‘Imarati to Noodles’- to find a solution to a complexity by simplifying the processes and ‘ISRO Execution’ – to work towards achieving the outcome in the most viable way; have been a source of inspiration and motivation to generate new ideas and solutions.

The Hitech Zen Symbol

“Arise, Awake, and not stop till the goal is achieved”

– Swami Vivekananda

With the above quote in mind, Managing Director Malav Dani leads from the front in the establishment, engagement and effective assurance of these novel practices. Mr. Dani has also set up a separate non-profit organisation under the name ‘Sab Ka Mangal Ho’ Foundation in 2016, to reinforce the current need to upgrade community service worldwide.

Every organisation has a universal vision of making the world a happier place with whatever can be provided by the ones who are capable. Social interventions though of different nature, are all directed towards a wellbeing and an essence to feel joyous, momentarily. This is where ‘Sab Ka Mangal Ho’ makes a difference.

“Bondage is of the mind; freedom too is of the mind. If you say ‘I am a free soul. I am a son of God who can bind me’ free you shall be.”- Sri Ramakrishna

Yoga is the union of the self and the divine consciousness. Eventually, being one of the methods of training individuals to have an evolved mind which can think, innovate and differentiate between right and wrong. Exclusive access to effective yoga under the tutelage of determined teachers is being provided at 23 orphanages across three locations around the country. The foundation intends to widen the spectrum to various such centres all over the world and continue to illuminate young minds. In addition to the fundamental necessities, the organisation aims at a higher vision to actively support causes under healthcare, life skills and preserving natural resources.

Achievements and Impact

Hitech has grown gradually but steadily since the early years of its inception. Initially setting up one business unit in Pune, it is now operating from 12 locations around the country, including two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities developed in Mysuru and Visakhapatnam. With most systems being automated and streamlined, Hitech aims to convert into a highly-digitised organisation. Nevertheless, Hitech believes in empowering the upcoming generation, giving them opportunities to work with the experienced personnel of the group ensuring symbiotic cultural development. Advancing from a standard office set up to a coworking collaborative space for the employees, the group has transformed into a modern, more contemporary powerhouse of ideas and execution.

Future Direction

As Sri Aurobindo quotes, “Not to go on for ever-repeating what man has already done, but to arrive at new realisations and undreamed-of masteries is the goal”, the group wants to ascertain a positive impact with unceasing innovations, simplified processes and distinctive services it can extend for the holistic welfare of the people.
