Amous Lee is an international property veteran with over 18 years of experience. Among his 18 years of experience, he has been involved in project consultancy and marketing for a diverse spectrum of listed developers. He is also a member of both the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) and the Australian Institute of Building (AIB), in addition to having served as a member and an ex-secretary of the Singapore Institute of Building (SIB).

Prior to founding FMI, he worked in Knight Frank as Head of Greater China and IP Global as Executive Director, International Property Investment, where he meets a range of national and international blue-chip clients. To date, he has transacted and managed more than USD13.8 billion worth of properties worldwide. His excellent sales performance is unanimously considered outstanding in the Hong Kong office and has won him the Knight Frank Greater China Annual Award Top Fee Generator from 2004 to 2011, and IP Global Top Sales Award from 2012 to 2014.

Recreate the peak and pursue the dreams
Despite at the peak of his career, he decided to venture out to start his own firm, as he realized that most international real estate agencies are exclusively western based and few of them are originated from Asia.

As a founder of FMI, he aspires to force FMI into one of the leading Asia-based integrated international property investment company which helps fulfil everyone’s cross border dreams, enabling access to top-quality overseas properties worldwide.

As a believer in “Your Gain, Our Pride.”, he believes in that wealth is created by benefitting others, not only shareholders and investors, but also the employees, customers and the bigger society. He believes in longterm, sustainable fortune on trust, integrity and respect. With this mission in mind, he aspires to make FMI a company that focuses on nurturing a winning network of stakeholders in the real estate sector, from property investors to tenants, from developers to distributors. He believes FMI can create mutual enduring value to the real estate sector and a bigger society.

The era of “PropTech”
In this era full of uncertainty, he believes in embracing change. He aspires to be a pioneer to transform the traditional bricks and mortar business into a technologycentric one. He envisions that FMI will become a leader in “PropTech”, a technology-enabled firm to bring positive change and enhanced value to our employees, customers, and shareholders.

360° integrated solutions approach
Amous builds and values long-term relationships with his clientele by providing attentive followup services and consultation. He implemented a 360° integrated real estate investment solutions approach, providing investors with the most relevant up-to-date information and providing services to fulfil all clients’ requests. This approach includes consultancy, transactions, mortgage, key handover, resale, letting management and taxation advisory. Together with his team, he ensures that each stage of the transactions is closely monitored for quality assurance, crafting the seamless experience the clients need to achieve their goals and to fulfil their dreams away from home.

Amous commits to deliver quality services to his customers. He leads FMI to win the “Outstanding Brand Award” in 2017 and 2018, and was awarded in the “Best Overseas Property Agency” category for two consecutive years. It demonstrates recognition of the brand in the market and acknowledges the dedicated effort to providing quality services to clients.

Stringent due diligence
Despite the inherent risk involved with business activity, he conducts stringent due diligence, detailed research and feasibility analysis. For every business decision made, compliance of law and regulations is something cannot be compromised. He considers it as a corporate social responsibility to self-regulate; hence, he and his team check regularly the applicable law and regulations in the industry to ensure the board decisions complying with latest law and regulations, even they are yet to be enforced.

Ever-growing partnerships and networks
Over the past decade, international property firms have been sprung up like mushrooms in Hong Kong. Amous believes turning competitors to partners and distributors is of his personal values. Joining forces with companies in the industry solidifies the strength and synergy of each other. He respects relationships competitors have established, particularly in areas where it is better to work in a complementary, rather than competitive, way.

Employee is the key to success
As the company grows in size and complexity, his role has evolved from a hand-on entrepreneur to a leader focusing on building a right organization framework and selecting the right people for the right posts. He thinks employee education is vital to the success of a company, and it bolsters the value of the employees and develops their selfesteem so that they are able to contribute in a more meaningful way. He encourages ongoing education and sponsors and subsidizes staff for professional study program and courses as a dedicated investment on his staff.

We rise by lifting others
Being the Director of Rotary Club of Channel Islands, he actively participates in multiple charity and social events. He arranges fundraising events for cleft lip children and gives career talks for teenagers. He also supports his employees to join charity runs and environmental campaigns for community investment.
