Information about the Entrepreneur
With a passion for logistics, Ming Huang majored in Civil Engineering at National Central University in Taiwan and pursued an MBA at Nyenrode Universiteit in the Netherlands.

After graduating, Ming worked as a management consultant at Ernst & Young where he was in charge of projects such as change management, strategy development, and BPR for global top companies. He was also responsible for HR Due Diligence in Taiwan for an M&A project where Lenovo acquired the IBM PC business, which is a professional milestone in his career.

Ming joined CTW Logistics in 2006, and he is currently the President and CEO of the company. With the continuous implementation of organization restructuring, digital transformation, new model development, people engagement, and building diverse teams with the same values and vision, Ming is leading the company to become a globally recognized logistics service provider with numerous achievements.

“It’s not about what I have accomplished, but what we are going to achieve”, shared Ming. Being the 2nd generation of the family business, Ming joined CTW with a commitment to sustainability. CTW continues moving forward together with diversified teams with the same values and commitments.

Having strong interests in the chemical field, Ming has developed new service models for dangerous goods, and CTW has become a strategic partner for global top chemical companies. In 2008, CTW built the first international logistics center with bonded, non-resident inventory function as well as DG and toxic handling license in Kaohsiung, to serve a global leading chemical company as an Asia hub, which brings CTW to a leading and pioneer position in the markets.

Moreover, Ming launched 4PL services with supply chain management functions in 2012 which enhanced the visibility and efficiency of global customers’ supply chain. He also played a role in navigating employees to take on new challenges which leads CTW into penetration to special businesses such as medical records management, scientific Chinese medicine, lottery ticket warehousing and management, and medical device and pharmaceutical logistics. In 2022, he steers CTW into a new service with a high-purity Nitrogen system and high-spec cleanroom operation to provide comprehensive service for the Semiconductors industry.

After stepping up as the President and CEO of CTW in 2019 and faced with the challenges brought on by the pandemic, Ming proactively led the company to both organic and financial growth in the coming years.

In 2020, he established the first overseas entity, CTW&CSG, in Singapore with the initial service of e-commerce and the 4PL Control Tower Scheme. Compared with 2019, the sales growth rates are 6.1%( in 2020) and 21.2%(in 2021), with Operating Profit growth of 37.1%(in 2020)and 32.1%( in 2021), and ROE of 73.0%(in 2020) and 76.4%(in 2021).

Looking forward to the future, Ming will lead the company to become a world-class 3rd party logistics service provider through the 5 perspectives of talent development, digital transformations for empowerment, strengthening domestic service network, overseas expansions, and ESG implementations. By deploying the methodologies of Vision and Value Engagement, Core competence Development, Key Position Identification, Training of Logistics Expertise, and Digital Empowerment, Ming expects to drive CTW’s human capital development as the foundation for company sustainability.

Ming has conducted digital transformation for years in CTW. In addition to logistics automation, CTW keeps adapting to such new technology as RPA, IoT, autonomous mobile robots, Humanrobot collaboration, and AI applications to empower CTW’s staff, customers, and suppliers with efficiency.

To keep its leading position in the market, CTW will establish the 5th International Logistics Center in Tai-Nan, Taiwan in 2024 to serve the new generation of semiconductor clusters, construct 2 new modern warehouses in the Tao-Yuan area in 2025, and invests in Kaohsiung Port to expand Asia Hub services. The company also plans to expand to the emerging ASEAN market with Malaysia and Indonesia being the potential markets for its overseas expansion.
