During the pandemic, Thailand’s economy was heavily affected by the loss of tourism. As a brand that has been with the Thai people through its ups and downs, Halls wanted to support Thailand and the Tourism sector. The brand set out on a journey, in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, to encourage Thai people to explore their country. Through this activation campaign, Halls had supported local businesses in different travel destinations in Thailand, by sharing their shop information on its microsite. Consumers who came on the microsite were able to see the different beautiful destinations in Thailand and shops/ activities nearby that they could visit. The campaign was a huge success, and Halls was happy to give back by showing that “Thailand has so much to breathe for”. In addition to the tourism sector, Halls also provided Covid-19 relief by donating Halls candy to front-line medical staff and people in need in various communities throughout Thailand. Halls is also moving towards sustainable packaging. Black plastic in Thailand is still a challenge to recycle so this year Halls changed the color of Halls XS plastic packaging from black to grey. This move makes the whole pack recycle-ready.
