Kok Leong also acts as Company Secretary for a number of large publicly-listed companies. He is a member of the Tribunal Committee & Audit Committee of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA). He has also served as a member of the Law Review Committee of MAICSA. A Chartered Secretary from MAICSA, qualified accountant from Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Associate Chartered Management Accountant, and Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Tricor Malaysia supplemented its organic growth with almost a dozen strategic mergers and acquisitions. Under Kok Leong’s leadership, Tricor Malaysia has become one of the biggest offices within the group. It is based in Kuala Lumpur, with six branches and 670 staff, including approximately 125 qualified company secretaries and accountants. Tricor is the largest outsourcing firm in Malaysia in terms of company secretarial, share registration and internal audit, and provides services to a 45% market share of publicly-listed companies. Kok Leong ensured the successful integration of each of Tricor Malaysia’s numerous acquisitions. Bringing together disparate business units and service lines, he quickly implemented a strong, collaborative, and unified team structure, resulting in a united and enthusiastic workforce with huge cross-selling capabilities.
In 2019, Tricor embarked on a company-wide digital transformation strategy to address operational pain points, deliver superior solutions and craft personalized client experiences. Robotic process automation (RPA), which has completely revolutionized Tricor’s user experience and back-end processing, underpinned Tricor’s digital transformation journey well before Covid-19 triggered the massive shift to digitalization and virtualization. Kok Leong’s digital strategy has helped the firm rapidly implement new technology to better develop solutions that meet evolving, growing marketplace needs.
