Michael Plaxton, the current Chief Executive Officer of FWD Thailand joined the company in May 1, 2013. He brought with him over 46 years of experience in the insurance industry with the last 21 years in Asia. Before moving to Asia in 1995, he started his insurance career in Europe and has held several important management and leadership roles in Europe, Singapore, Philippines and Thailand.

His extensive experience and leadership in general management, agency distribution, Bancassurance coupled with his enthusiasm in employee engagement, FWD Life Insurance Public Company Limited (Thailand) was awarded “The Most Outstanding Development of Life Insurance Company in 2014” award by the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC). Within 3 years, he has led FWD Thailand to become the company with the highest growth in the insurance market. His dedication to being responsible to the country the business operates in, notably in building sustainable growth of people with disabilities through hiring, providing public transportation services for people with disabilities, etc., has led to 6 CSR awards, 3 from Thailand and 2 Regional Awards (International Workability Asia and Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards).

We have been working closely with charitable organizations to implement a wide range of inspiring community programmes.
