Jude Rodrigo is the founder of Bopitiya Auto Enterprises, which is a sustainable pioneering and fastest growing prestigious Sri Lankan quality brand manufacturer, distributor and exporter of Automotive Fastening and Suspension Components and Automotive Leaf Springs and Accessories. He started the journey to success in 1981 with one employee and only 60-USD in hand. The basic organization was established by his own in thatched hut and worked 19 hours a day without taking a single holiday. The model entrepreneur’s journey then emerged as four turning points. As the starting point he produced aluminium kitchen utensils by aluminium casting which was not being a success. Then he started to manufacture boat spare parts by aluminium casting which was also a fallen phase. Again, as the third effort he started in manufacturing Brass Water Taps through brass casting which also failed. Through the great craftsmanship gathered with the emboldened, experience, speciality and the strong learnings from the fallen stages, gathered with the determination, the dedicated entrepreneur ultimately kept its foot print to manufacture Motor Vehicle Bronze Bushes and Industrial Machinery Required Bronze Bushes which made the industry in to the track. Lessons learnt and experience gained through failures, and challenges that were faced, had as its destiny to be one of the best. By 1982, Sri Lanka Transport Board (CTB) decided to import Leyland Viking Buses from India. From that they tendered 31000 bronze bush requirements for the running repairs of the buses. Making the situation as an opportunity, fortunately Jude was able to supply a part of that bush order making a huge turning point to the brand in the entrepreneurial journey. After that he started in manufacturing other suspension related components where it today manufactures above 100 auto component varieties for different vehicles. Also, the company manufactures hanger bolts for multi storey buildings as well as customer designed light engineering products. Today Jude could recall the past and reflect on the present with utter satisfaction.

Though he is an industrial specialist, Jude identifies himself as a people-oriented entrepreneur. Indeed, he has created a unique working culture where he generously cares his employees.
