Bhathiya Trading is duly committed to developing the environment and society at large and has contributed various activities such as constructing a building in the nearby Temple at a huge cost which currently conducts free computer classes and Buddhism classes for children in the vicinity. Further conducting of continuous workshops and seminars on narcotics usage for youths; skills training workshop to identify employment facilities for youths. BTC has also sponsored children at the SOS village, Piliyandala and donated artificial limbs and wheel-chairs to war disabled soldiers whilst refurbishing of a temple in a remote village in Hambantota.
Further commenting on the Safety and environmental leadership taken on board by Bhathiya Trading, “We are committed to the safeguarding of our people, clients and cargoes, as well as protecting the environment and we never compromise on this at any time. Further we have also adopted a recycling method for chemicals we use in our factories. Through this method we are able to minimize the usage of various chemicals while saving costs as well” said Mr. Udumalagala.
