Introduction
Airports corporation of Vietnam (ACV) is a joint - stock company with 95.4% state-owned shares and be responsible for the operation of 22 airports all over Vietnam, including 9 international airports and 13 domestic airports. Established in 2012 as a result of the merging of the three airports corporations namely the Northern, Central and Southern Airports Corporation, ACV officially became a public company listed on UPCom stock exchange from November 2016.

With a mission to build image of the country and people of Vietnam: “Peaceful - Civilized - Friendly - Dynamic,” ACV will maintain the security, safety, modernization of airports, expanding cooperation in investment, construction and development of aeronautical and nonaeronautical services in order to improve socio-economic development, security defence of the country and meet the increasing demands of aviation business to become one of the most attractive destinations in Asia – Pacific.

In the context of the world economy growth rate is tending to slow down with the increasing of risks and challenges, Vietnam’s aviation market continues to grow but the growth rate is declining and has a signs of saturation. In the face of complicated fluctuations in the domestic and world markets, ACV formulates the saving cost policy, and functional units actively propose the strategic plans for the company efficiency and effectiveness in particular enhancing the nonaeronautical services revenue. Furthermore, Vietnam’s aviation sector is undergoing a prolonged boom that is opening up the higher growth rate and development, while putting pressure on the airport system. ACV is accelerating the urgent expansion plans to meet the fast rising air travel demand.

ACV’s airports are actively researching and applying technological solutions, using high-efficiency energysaving devices and equipment to replace the inefficient ones in term of maintenance, operation and renovation. Most airports use water from national water commission, with the percentage of recycled and reused water was estimated at 10-15% in 2018. In addition, Tan Son Nhat International Airport decided to stop speaker announcements on flights information to reduce noise pollution and improve the service quality from July, 2019. In addition, following the tradition in gratitude of noble souls, ACV has sponsored many charitable activities for the society throughout the country for many years. All these activities are aimed at supporting the poor, the disadvantaged, grateful families of war invalids, martyrs, to take care of heroic Vietnamese mothers, orphans in difficult circumstances. ACV usually organizes many charity and social activities such as periodical activities (Viet Nam’s War Invalids and Martyrs Day 27 July; People’s Army of Viet Nam Foundation Anniversary 22 December, etc.), sharing activities: visit and present gifts to flood-hit localities, people; build house of gratitude (built for war invalids or martyrs’ families), etc.
