In addition to the exceptional growth of domestic aviation, airports under ACV's management have continued to record a remarkable recovery and increase the excellent growth of the international market during the first half of 2023. ACV has ensured the absolute security and safety of 56.8 million passengers, including 14.6 million international passengers and 42.2 million domestic passengers, in the first six months of 2023; ensured the safe movement of 365 thousand flights; and ensured the safe handling of 580.5 thousand tons of cargo, including 410 thousand tons of international cargo and 170.5 thousand tons of domestic cargo.
ACV has evolved over time to accommodate ongoing global aviation progress. The enterprise is honored to have Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung – Deputy General Director – be appointed as a new Board member of ACI Asia–Pacific, which will enhance the prestige and position of ACV and the Vietnam aviation industry in the regions and the world aviation industries. ACV has been initially applying contactless technology, biometric applications, and AI-powered systems for vehicles and utilities in the terminal, from check-in procedures to boarding gates, with the aim of developing smart airports for ACV's under-managed airports. By adopting advanced techniques, ACV desires to help passengers save time at check-in counters and security checkpoints, thereby enhancing the airport passenger experience.
In addition, ACV concentrates on investing in and efficiently utilizing airport infrastructure and airfields to meet the rapid growth of the aviation industry and promote its role as a primary enterprise in Vietnam's aviation industry's development strategy. ACV has been committing all its resources to the implementation of numerous major projects that will enter a significant construction phase in 2023.
